Cree Language Resource Coordinator Position at Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Education Department
The Cree Language Resource Coordinator plays a vital role in promoting and distributing Cree educational materials within the community and educational institutions. Key responsibilities include:
- Processing and fulfilling requests for Cree Resource Unit
- Producing and assembling all educational materials
- Typesetting and formatting Cree language resources
- Generating invoices and overseeing inventory management
- Maintaining the Cree Language Resource Catalogue
- Operating publishing equipment for resource production
- Managing the sales and promotion of educational materials
- Ordering necessary office and printing supplies
- Coordinating events such as the Cree Language Festival
- Participating in teacher workshops and language conferences
- Overseeing an apparel store and documenting meetings
- Delivering exceptional service to clients
- Carrying out additional assigned tasks
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
- Preferred background in Business Administration or Information Technology
- At least 2 years of experience in developing Cree educational resources
- Proficiency in speaking and writing Cree is advantageous
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Possession of a valid class 5 driver's license
- Criminal Record Check and Driver's Abstract required
