Cree Resource Developer Position

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Education Department is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Cree Resource Developer. This permanent full-time role is located at the LLRIB Band Office in La Ronge, SK.
Key Responsibilities:- Receiving and processing orders for Cree resources, including online, fax, and walk-in requests.
- Printing and binding resources, such as books, posters, and other materials.
- Typesetting Cree resources for clients, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Preparing invoices for the Cree Language Unit and maintaining accurate records.
- Providing printing services for the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.
- Staying informed about current Cree Language and Culture programs available for LLRIB schools and students.
- Updating the Cree Language Resource Catalogue.
- Operating a perfect binder for publishing books, pamphlets, and information booklets.
- Photocopying and faxing CRU-related documents.
- Sales and marketing of Cree resources.
- Ordering office supplies, printer supplies, and marketing products.
- Maintaining spreadsheets for CRU orders and tracking inventory.
- Creating and distributing posters and registration forms, as well as taking registrations for the Cree Language Festival.
- Contacting schools and teachers for the Cree Language Festival, preparing agendas, and assisting with registration, prizes, and delivery.
- Attending and assisting supervisors at teacher workshops.
- Representing the LLRIB at language conferences to sell and promote CRU resources.
- Managing the CRU apparel store, handling the debit machine, and ordering merchandise.
- Recording virtual meetings with Cree teachers and elders.
- Providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Grade 12 or equivalent is required.
- Business Administration and/or Information Technology is an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in developing various Cree resources.
- Ability to speak and write Cree is an asset.
- Ideal candidate must be able to work with Standard Roman Orthography (SRO) and Syllabics.
- Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, CorelDraw, Adobe Photoshop, and Perfect Binding photocopying is an asset.
- Stay informed about new computer programs, including InDesign.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to deal with the public and LLRIB employees in a respectful and prompt manner.
- MUST have a valid Class 5 driver's License.
- MUST provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector check, and Driver's Abstract.
