Aboriginal Education Liaison

School District No. 73 is seeking a qualified Aboriginal Education Worker to provide support to Aboriginal students in our district.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide assistance and support to Aboriginal students, either individually or in groups.
- Work with teachers and other staff to develop and implement culturally responsive teaching practices.
- Support the development of Aboriginal language and cultural programs.
- Collaborate with community organizations and agencies to provide resources and services to Aboriginal students and families.
- Grade 12 supplemented by a minimum of one (1) year post-secondary education in a related field.
- Two (2) years of proven previous work experience working with children, preferably of Aboriginal ancestry.
- Valid B.C. Driver's License.
- Aboriginal language skills and previous experience supporting the Aboriginal community would be an asset.
