**Aboriginal Education Worker Role**

School District No. 73 is currently seeking a qualified Aboriginal Education Worker to join their team. The successful candidate will provide assistance and support to Aboriginal students, utilizing their knowledge of applicable Aboriginal culture, tradition, and issues.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assist and support Aboriginal students
  • Utilize knowledge of Aboriginal culture, tradition, and issues
  • Travel to outlying communities as required

**Requirements:**

  • Grade 12 supplemented by a minimum of one year post-secondary education in a related field
  • Two years proven previous work experience working with children, preferably of Aboriginal ancestry
  • Valid B.C. Driver's License
  • Aboriginal language skills and previous experience supporting the Aboriginal community an asset
