Main Responsibilities
  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist in daily field and laboratory operations to provide geotechnical services, including laboratory testing and equipment calibration.
  • Oversee and conduct laboratory tests, including compressive strength testing, soil and aggregate gradation, and asphalt extraction.
  • Monitor and conduct field testing to ensure adherence to protocols and standards.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with clients, laboratory supervisors, and field and laboratory technicians.
  • Assist with scheduling work, monitoring utilization, and maintaining accurate sample logs.
  • Ensure the maintenance of equipment and work areas to ensure safe conditions at all times.
  • Record test data, prepare reports, and summaries for interpretation of results.
  • Oversee the work quality of field and laboratory technicians, including data verification and work process audits.
  • Assist with maintenance of data bases of records containing calibration certificates and equipment manuals.
  • Participate in laboratory correlation and accreditation assessment programs.
  • Train field and laboratory technologists and technicians.
  • Make recommendations to control or eliminate unsafe conditions in the workplace.
