Job Summary

s.s.w construction Ltd is seeking a skilled Welding Helper to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assisting our welders and fabricators in the fabrication and assembly of metal products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist welders and fabricators in the fabrication and assembly of metal products
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal surfaces
  • Sort and organize metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools
  • Clean machines and work areas
  • Load and unload vehicles
  • Polish metal products to a mirror finish
  • Read and interpret work orders
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts using hand tools and equipment
  • Utilize hand and power tools
  • Transport materials and tools to and from work areas
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Basic security clearance
