About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to join our team at Legal Aid Ontario. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and direction to our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Management
    • Develop and implement financial plans and budgets that align with our organizational goals and objectives
    • Oversee the financial management of our organization, including financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance
    • Prepare and present financial reports to our leadership team and board of directors
    • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws
  • Financial Systems and Processes
    • Develop and implement financial systems and processes that support our organizational goals and objectives
    • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial data
  • Leadership and Collaboration
    • Provide financial guidance and support to our leadership team and staff
    • Collaborate with our leadership team to develop and implement organizational strategies
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Master's degree in business administration or a related field
    • At least 5 years of experience in financial management in a non-profit organization
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong financial management and leadership skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to analyze complex financial data and make informed decisions
    • Experience with financial software and systems
