The Resident Engagement Assistant plays a vital role within our community, significantly influencing the lives of residents and nurturing meaningful human connections.
This is a Permanent Part-Time position.
Schedule Rotation:
Week 1:
Sunday 8:30am-4:30pm Tuesday 9:00am-2:00pm Wednesday 9:00am-2:00pm Thursday 9:00am-2:00pmWeek 2:
Monday 9:00am-2:00pm Friday 9:00am-2:00pm Saturday 8:30am-4:30pmAs a Resident Engagement Assistant, your daily responsibilities will include:
Fostering a vibrant culture that promotes resident wellbeing, choice, and active participation Designing and executing programs that align with established guidelines and brand standards Innovating and testing new resident experiences and initiatives with the guidance of the Resident Engagement Manager (REM) Utilizing technology to create, enhance, and deliver both in-suite and group programming that engages residents Assisting The Market in accordance with guidelines, while identifying opportunities to better meet residents' needs under the direction of the REM Supporting the volunteer program for both in-person and remote volunteers, including student internships under the supervision of the REM Adhering to the organization's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and complying with the Occupational Health and Safety ActRequired Qualifications:
A degree/diploma in Gerontology, Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Therapeutic Recreation, Leisure Studies, Health Promotion, or Health Sciences Experience working with seniors, including a solid understanding of motivational concepts and principles related to health, wellbeing, and leisure Certification to instruct land group fitness, and if applicable, aquatic fitness for seniors through a recognized organization, or willingness to obtain certification within the first 60 days of employment A valid driver's license and/or special class license (or the ability to obtain one within the first 6 months of employment) with a clean driving record Current certification in CPR and First Aid Familiarity with the provincial Occupational Health and Safety Act Proficiency in Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel, along with virtual communication tools such as Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, etc.Embrace your passion for helping others and consider a role with Aspira Stonebridge Crossing Retirement Living as we strive to enhance the lives of those we serve.
