About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stockless Inventory Attendant to join our team at Oak Valley Health. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient ordering and distribution of medical/surgical supplies throughout the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ordering and distributing medical/surgical supplies hospital-wide
  • Managing the just-in-time inventory system, including the location and maintenance of just-in-time carts
  • Designing, building, and revising the layout of carts to optimize storage and accessibility
  • Picking and delivering third-party medical/surgical supplies to units
  • Conducting daily audits to ensure accuracy and maintaining individual carts to a regular state of order and cleanliness
  • Reviewing and communicating with departments and supervisors regarding important back orders from the just-in-time provider
  • Breaking down cardboard and returning plastics neatly inside the empty totes to be returned to the just-in-time provider
  • Uploading par level cart orders into the Pathways Material Management system

Requirements:

  • Minimum grade 12 education and good mathematical skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of medical/surgical supplies from a patient care or stores setting
  • 1-2 years of recent experience and working knowledge of just-in-time inventory systems
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer and typing skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and as a member of a team
  • Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
  • Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organization-related policies, health and safety legislation, and best practices

Work Schedule:

The successful candidate must be available to work 8-hour shifts, between Monday to Sunday, including statutory holidays. Please note that the schedule is subject to change based on operational needs.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent moderate and heavy exertion: lifting up to 40 lbs., pushing and pulling carts for replenishing carts
  • Intense visual concentration required due to computer work

Compensation:

Salary Grid: BAND CU02: $24.84-26.99 per hour
