Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and develop personalized plans to meet their occupational performance goals.
  • Design and implement interventions to support clients in achieving their goals, including therapeutic activities and exercises.
  • Conduct follow-up assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make adjustments as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in occupational therapy to provide evidence-based care.
Requirements
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Canadian university program or the approved equivalent if internationally educated.
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM) with the incumbent's name entered in the practicing register or in the provisional register as an examination candidate.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships, effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work cooperatively with other disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Competence in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions, and values.
  • Membership in the Manitoba Society of Occupational Therapists (MSOT) and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
