Job Description

Assistant Director of Procurement

The Assistant Director of Procurement will be responsible for optimizing procurement expenses by managing the organization's supply of products, materials, and/or services, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement and tendering processes, as well as excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage strategic procurement needs for the organization
  • Develop and deploy procurement strategies
  • Supervise procurement management and operations
  • Develop procurement and tendering policies
  • Oversee the development of procurement and tendering processes
  • Maintain external and internal technological watch
  • Prepare budgets, cost analyses, and reports
  • Direct supervision of procurement staff

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study
  • Six years of relevant experience
  • Professional experience in procurement and tendering processes
  • Excellent knowledge of public/para-public procurement regulations
  • Strong understanding of procurement systems
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong commitment to compliance and transparency
  • Fluency in English and French
