About Canada SCORES VancouverCanada SCORES Vancouver (CSV) is a registered charity dedicated to empowering youth to lead healthy lifestyles, engage in their education, and develop the confidence and character necessary to make a positive impact in their communities.
Program ResponsibilitiesAs a Program Leader, you will play a crucial role in facilitating our after-school initiatives for elementary school students (grades 4-7). Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing the SCORES curriculum, which integrates soccer, poetry, and community projects.
- Conducting evaluations at the end of each season and year (e.g., participant surveys).
- Accompanying participants to various program events.
- Engaging with parents and guardians to support their children's success.
- Participating in staff meetings and training sessions.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience working with children, particularly in social and emotional learning, physical literacy, and group management.
- Strong skills in planning and leading recreational activities for groups of children.
- Cultural and social sensitivity that values diversity and multiculturalism.
- A current class 5 Driver's License (preferred).
This part-time contract position requires availability for weekday afternoon shifts, with a minimum commitment of 4 hours (up to 10 hours) per week.
