Role Overview

We are on the lookout for a seasoned and detail-oriented professional to take on the role of Lead Market Analyst. In this essential position, you will engage in comprehensive market evaluations, project supply and demand trends, and generate, maintain, and disseminate daily pricing reports for our commodity marketing. Key Responsibilities:

Perform thorough market research and analysis to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks within the NGL sector, including propane and butane. Create precise supply and demand forecasts for NGLs by evaluating production data, storage capacities, import/export statistics, and other pertinent factors. Collaborate with the commercial team to devise pricing strategies and enhance the distribution of NGL pricing options. Develop and maintain intricate financial models to assess potential transactions, evaluate profitability, and support decision-making. Monitor and analyze competitor pricing, sales activities, market conditions, and regulatory changes to identify potential impacts on our operations. Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management, emphasizing key insights and actionable findings. Work alongside cross-functional teams, including accounting, sales, supply, and logistics, to ensure effective coordination and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline; a Master's degree is preferred. At least 5 years of experience in the energy sector, with a strong emphasis on NGL marketing, trading, or similar fields. Exceptional analytical and quantitative abilities, with expertise in data analysis, modeling, and forecasting methodologies. In-depth understanding of NGL markets, pricing structures, and industry dynamics. Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information in a clear and concise manner. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Power BI, along with experience in coding and managing large datasets. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively. Strong problem-solving capabilities and a proactive mindset for identifying and addressing challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with energy trading and risk management (ETRM) systems. Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards within the energy sector. Understanding of supply chain optimization and logistics management. Proven success in executing deals and creating value within the NGL marketing landscape.
