**Job Summary**

Stackitrecruitment is seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist to join our team in Downtown Toronto. As an Application Support Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of applications by monitoring, maintaining, and restoring services to meet business needs.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, end-users, and technical specialists to troubleshoot issues, support deployments, and contribute to continuous system improvement.
* Assist with root cause analysis, ad-hoc reporting, and on-call support.
* Interface with various end-users from various business units, business analysts, implementation specialists, help desk analysts, system and network administrators, and developers.
* Monitor, maintain and restore service for applications to ensure service level agreements are met.
* Support existing systems and assist in root cause analysis and resolution.
* Helps to develop the knowledge assets required for the operation.
* Coordinate incident and service interruption notification.
* Ad-hoc report and SQL script peer review.
* Support after business hour and weekend IT related activities on rotational basis.

**Requirements**

* Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Information Technology.
* ~2+ years of experience in application support and operations.
* ~ Intermediate level in SQL script and reporting.
* ~ Intermediate level in relational databases and MS SQL server.
* ~ Intermediate level in Windows Server operation and troubleshooting.
* ~ Knowledge of application monitoring and ticket system operations.
* ~ Knowledge of support and operation practice, concepts, technology, and tool stacks.

**Working Conditions**

* Hybrid (2-3 days per week required in the office).
* Contract Length: 4 months - must be incorporated.
