Job Title: Flooring Specialist

Cornelius Flooring is seeking a skilled Flooring Specialist to join our team. As a Flooring Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining various types of flooring, including carpet, hardwood, and resilient flooring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings
  • Prepare and install hardwood floors
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
  • Perform direct glue-down carpet installations
Work Environment:

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and be able to work in a physically demanding environment. The ability to bend, crouch, and kneel is essential for this role.

Requirements:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in flooring installation
  • Ability to work on site with no option for remote work
