Position Summary
The Lead Radiochemist will serve as a technical authority in the exploration and advancement of radiolabeling methodologies for the production of both therapeutic and diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals. This role is pivotal in:

  • Driving the innovation of next-generation radiopharmaceuticals by spearheading radiochemistry research and development initiatives.
  • Creating novel radiolabeling techniques and formulations tailored for discovery and preclinical projects.
  • Synthesizing, evaluating, and providing radiolabeled compounds for preclinical research.
  • Offering technical expertise in the formulation of cGMP radiopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A PhD or MS degree in radiochemistry, organic chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.
  • Approximately 5 to 10 years of pertinent experience in radiochemistry, radiopharmaceutical production, organic chemistry, or process chemistry.
  • A proven track record of effectively prioritizing projects and managing timelines in a dynamic environment.
  • Hands-on experience with imaging radioisotopes (e.g., F-18, Ga-68, Cu-64, Zr-89, In-111) and/or therapeutic radioisotopes (e.g., Lu-177, Ac-225, Tb-161, Cu-67, Pb-212) is advantageous.
  • Experience in quality control testing of radiopharmaceuticals, including proficiency with radio-HPLC, radio-ITLC, and GC.
  • Knowledge of environmental health and radioprotection standards is a plus.
