Position Overview: We are devoted to nurturing an inclusive and diverse workplace. We are looking for a motivated Leasing Agent to manage daily leasing operations for a portfolio of urban office and retail spaces for a significant institutional client. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for overseeing broker relationships, leasing and revenue forecasts, lease documentation, and financial evaluations. This role is focused on growth.   • Act as the Broker of Record for the organization, ensuring adherence to all legal and regulatory standards as required by the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO).
  • Accountable for the leasing performance of a portfolio of properties to ensure the Company meets or surpasses its annual objectives;
  • Develop, review, and manage all leases, offers to lease, agreements, and contracts;
  • Oversee negotiations to completion and follow up on all lease-related matters;
  • Coordinate leasing activities with property operations, lease administration/asset management, and accounting teams;
  • Responsible for creating and continuously updating strategies for the properties within the portfolio;
  • Proactively source and identify new commercial leasing opportunities and real estate management prospects;
  • Actively engage in the property budgeting process concerning annual leasing assumptions;
  • Maintain records and possess in-depth knowledge of various market data;
  • Establish and/or maintain a strong industry presence and profile while fostering relationships within both the Broker and Tenant communities;
  • Collaborate with the Asset Management Team regarding strategy/recommendations, all relevant leasing decisions, and detailed financial analysis;
  • Provide support to the Acquisitions and Asset Management teams concerning strategic planning, acquisitions, and dispositions. Monitor market activity and identify acquisition and/or potential business opportunities;
  • Responsibilities include detailed report preparation and presentation.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience;
  • Must possess and maintain a Real Estate license in good standing;
  • 3-7 years of experience in real estate development and/or brokerage;
  • Established network of contacts and resources in the industry;
  • Familiarity with social media platforms;
  • Strong initiative and self-management skills to work independently with minimal guidance;
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, superior oral and written communication, and presentation abilities;
  • Capacity to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships at all levels; ability to exercise confidentiality; displays enthusiasm and a desire to learn; team player;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
