Position Overview

The City of Kamloops is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a permanent, full-time Business Analyst. In this role, you will focus on evaluating and enhancing business processes and outcomes. Your primary responsibilities will include gathering, analyzing, and articulating business requirements, as well as designing and implementing IT solutions that align with our organizational objectives.

Qualifications for Business Analyst II ($47.732/hour):

  1. A post-secondary degree in Information Technology, Business, Sciences, or Engineering.
  2. Completion of at least four courses recognized in an accredited Business Analysis or Project Management Certificate Program.
  3. A minimum of three years of experience in Business Analysis with enterprise applications, encompassing project management, application life cycle support, and systems architecture.

Qualifications for Business Analyst I ($46.098/hour):

  1. A post-secondary degree in Information Technology, Business, Sciences, or Engineering.
  2. Completion of at least one course recognized in an accredited Business Analysis Certificate program.
  3. A minimum of one year of experience in Business Analysis, focusing on the implementation and configuration of enterprise-class systems.

This position includes a comprehensive benefits package. For new hires and those in designated positions of trust, a police information check is required prior to formal employment offers. This is a CUPE local 900 position.

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday
8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (summer)
8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (winter)
Hours per Week: 35
Hourly Rate: $47.732
