As the Supply Chain Management Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our supply chain by:

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with Acuity Brands' overall business objectives. This includes identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation, and technology integration to enhance operational excellence.
  • Procurement Excellence: Lead the procurement function, ensuring competitive pricing, timely delivery, and high-quality materials. Build strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable contracts to optimize costs and mitigate risks.
  • Manufacturing Optimization: Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to streamline production processes, reduce lead times, and improve overall efficiency. Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to enhance productivity and minimize waste.
  • Inventory Management: Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to ensure optimal stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and meet customer demand. Utilize data analytics to forecast demand and optimize inventory turnover.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Build and lead a high-performing supply chain team by fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide mentorship and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of success in supply chain management within the lighting or manufacturing industry. They will have a deep understanding of procurement, logistics, inventory control, and manufacturing processes. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for this role.
