Job SummaryDurham College is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join its faculty as a part-time professor of building information modelling. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Building Information Modelling I: Drafting and Drawings, and will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment methodologies.
Key Responsibilities- Teach Building Information Modelling I: Drafting and Drawings, using current technologies and assessment methodologies
- Develop and implement curriculum that uses appropriate strategies and tools to assess student learning
- Work effectively with students, the program team, and a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in industry-led or community-based applied research, as needed
- A relevant degree combined with industry credentials (PhD is an asset)
- A minimum of five years of recent (within the past three years) and relevant work experience
- Teaching experience at the post-secondary level, with a demonstrated understanding and application of Universal Design for Learning
- Experience participating in industry-led or community-based applied research is an asset
- Demonstrated use of current technologies to support student learning and the management of grades
- Proven track-record of life-long learning
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Durham College offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $60,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. The college also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
