As a key member of our Civil, Structural & Architectural Department, you will be responsible for providing structural design and technical support for various projects.

Responsibilities:

* Provide structural design and technical support including calculations for concrete, structural steel and connection design, design drawing review, field investigations, and assistance with solutions for the construction or repair of industrial buildings, facilities and services.
* Learn and apply engineering protocols.
* Assist with developing specifications and contract documents.
* On an as needed basis, visit operating sites and plant construction projects for trouble-shooting.
* Review project documents prior to issue for scope and presentation, including checking for technical accuracy.
* Develop and maintain positive, sustainable client relationships.
* Demonstrate effective organizational skills and handle multiple tasks independently as part of a team.
* Coordinate and work with project team members.

Requirements:

* Undergraduate degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
* Eligibility for registration as an EIT in Saskatchewan.
* Working knowledge of CSA S16 - Design of steel structures and CSA A23.3 – Design of Concrete Structures.
* Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
* Team-oriented and a creative thinker.
* Demonstrates cooperation and decision-making abilities.
* 2- 3 years' experience working on mining and/or heavy industrial projects is an asset.
* Must be authorized to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood
