About the Role

ML6 Search + Talent Advisory is seeking a highly skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our recruitment team, you will be responsible for the full life cycle recruitment process, working closely with hiring managers to understand their needs and sourcing top talent to fill open positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of their hiring needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Manage the full cycle recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding and new hire orientation.
  • Partner with the HR team to refine and update recruitment documents, ensuring compliance with employment laws and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talent and increase brand awareness.
  • Screen resumes, qualify, interview, and manage candidates throughout the recruitment cycle.
  • Perform reference checks and facilitate the offer process, including background checks.
  • Manage the onboarding and new hire process, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of job descriptions, including physical demands analysis.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities are conducted in accordance with employment laws and collective bargaining agreements.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' recruiting experience, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Experience developing recruitment strategies and managing a wide range of relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Detailed-oriented and resourceful self-starter with demonstrated ability to take initiative.
  • Strong time management, organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively with other team members.
  • Strong computer literacy and willingness to improve skills.
  • A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check (completed when an offer is made).
  • Possesses a valid Class G driver's license and access to a vehicle.
