Your Role

The Senior Analyst of Revenue Forecasting is responsible for maintaining the comprehensive revenue forecast for the company, integrating detailed route-level analysis with overarching macroeconomic factors to produce precise, timely, and actionable revenue forecasts for senior management and the Board of Directors. This role involves collaboration with various teams to synthesize data and insights, enhancing forecast accuracy, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and developing executive-level reporting tools to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the companywide rolling revenue forecast model and related executive outputs.
  • Oversee the creation of decision-making tools for scenario analysis and probability simulations related to forecast outcomes; conduct analyses to determine optimal strategies amid uncertainty.
  • Balance workstreams, manage resources effectively, and communicate project statuses and deadlines to leadership and stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate analysis.
  • Enhance the efficiency and precision of revenue forecasting through continuous improvement and adoption of advanced forecasting tools.
  • Analyze revenue variances to identify root causes and propose strategies for profit maximization.
  • Identify and evaluate potential revenue opportunities throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to formulate medium and long-term business strategies.
  • Conduct special projects, reports, and analyses as directed by senior management.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support the development of junior team members within the Revenue Analytics, Pricing, and Yield Management teams to enhance collective expertise and performance.
  • Provide analytical assistance to other commercial teams as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Finance, Aviation Management, or a related analytical field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in revenue forecasting, analysis, financial modeling, or a related field is required.
  • Experience with revenue management systems is preferred.
  • Prior experience in the airline commercial sector is advantageous.

Skills and Abilities

  • Understanding of revenue management strategies, particularly within the U.S. airline industry.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; familiarity with airline commercial metrics, economics, and revenue management principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to develop logical analytical approaches and apply various quantitative techniques to solve business challenges efficiently.
  • Comfortable working independently to tackle analytical problems with limited data and tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in utilizing big data analysis tools to extract, analyze, and present large datasets with actionable insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and presentation.
  • Familiarity with SQL, SAS, Python, R, or similar programming languages is a plus.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to deliver results under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
