Registered Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Brightshores. As a member of our Float Pool, you will be assigned to work in various departments/sites to provide care to patients with stable and predictable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care and treatment in accordance with the defined professional scope of practice as set out by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Work collaboratively with the inter-disciplinary team to promote health, assess, and provide care to patients.
- Assess patients' health conditions and provide supportive, preventative, therapeutic, palliative, and rehabilitative care to attain or maintain optimal function.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and POCT as required.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet patients' needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
- Adhere to Brightshores' 'CARE' Behaviours and 'LEAD' Competencies to promote a safe and respectful work environment.
Requirements:
- RPN Certificate of Competence with the Ontario College of Nurses.
- Ability to work at full scope of practice.
- Physical Assessment Course or equivalent.
- Competency in aseptic technique, urinary catheterization, administration of medications, IV therapy, POCT.
- Excellent organizational, patient assessment, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
- Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records.
