Job Summary

Brightshores is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team as a member of the Float Pool. As a key member of our inter-disciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care to those with stable and predictable outcomes, working collaboratively with the inter-disciplinary team to achieve optimal function.
  • Assess, plan, and implement care to promote health, prevent illness, and alleviate suffering.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines to provide best-in-class care.

Requirements

  • RPN Certificate of Competence with the Ontario College of Nurses.
  • Ability to work at full scope of practice.
  • Physical Assessment Course or equivalent.
  • Competency in aseptic technique, urinary catheterization, administration of medications, IV therapy, POCT.
  • Excellent organizational, patient assessment, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records.
  • Adherence to Brightshores' CARE Behaviours and LEAD Competencies.
