Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Southbridge Care Homes. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our residents while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality resident care: Ensure that all residents receive compassionate and individualized care, adhering to established protocols and physician orders.
  • Monitor and report resident conditions: Regularly observe, record, and report vital signs, symptoms, and conditions of residents, taking prompt action to address any concerns.
  • Lead and coordinate care teams: Organize and direct the work of nursing and personal care staff, ensuring seamless delivery of care services.
  • Train and develop staff: Provide guidance and support to new staff members, referring any concerns to the Director of Care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for residents.

Requirements:

  • Certification and registration: Hold a current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and be registered/eligible for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
  • Experience and skills: Possess previous experience in long-term care, with a strong understanding of duties and responsibilities. Demonstrate excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
