Your Role: Major Gifts Officer
Reporting to the Executive Director of Development at QHS, you will be a key player in developing and executing fundraising strategies to secure significant donations (over $50,000) that support Queen's University and QHS. Your expertise will help us advance our mission and create a lasting impact on the health sciences landscape.
Responsibilities:- Develop compelling cases for support and funding proposals tailored to diverse donor audiences, ensuring clear communication of project goals and impact.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including potential donors, alumni, and community partners, to expand our fundraising network.
- Conduct thorough market research to understand donor motivations and preferences, informing strategic fundraising initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans aligned with institutional priorities.
- Oversee special projects and manage budgets effectively to ensure successful execution of fundraising goals.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, supplemented by relevant professional experience in fundraising or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in securing major gifts from diverse donor populations.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a strategic mindset.
