Job Summary
A Brief Overview
This role is pivotal in developing and implementing strategies to secure significant donations exceeding $50,000 to advance Queen's University and its Health Sciences division. As a key member of our development team, you will cultivate relationships with stakeholders to broaden and enrich our donor base.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing and evaluating donor engagements, crafting compelling cases for support, and developing funding proposals to meet ambitious fundraising goals. You will work closely with senior leadership to prioritize and execute strategies that result in major gifts.
This position requires variable hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel is an inherent part of the role. You will be expected to work collaboratively with team members to achieve our fundraising objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to secure major gifts exceeding $50,000
- Cultivate relationships with stakeholders to broaden and enrich our donor base
- Oversee and evaluate donor engagements, including crafting compelling cases for support
- Develop funding proposals to meet ambitious fundraising goals
- Work closely with senior leadership to prioritize and execute strategies that result in major gifts
- Collaborate with team members to achieve fundraising objectives
Requirements
- Four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent
- More than 5 years of experience in development or a related field
- Strong knowledge of concepts and principles in development and fundraising
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
