About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Vegetable Farm Worker to join our team at Monette Farms Ltd. as an Agricultural Laborer - Vegetable Farming. As a Farmhand - Vegetable Crop Management, you will play a crucial role in the success of our farm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vegetable Grading and Harvesting

Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, color, and volume to fetch high prices in the market.

Hand Harvesting

Hand harvest vegetables, ensuring high-quality produce.

Crop Management

Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, including bell peppers, cabbage, carrots, cauliflowers, cucumbers, onions, sweet corn, tomatoes, zucchinis, and potatoes.

Farm Maintenance

Maintain farm machinery, equipment, and buildings, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Workplace Safety

Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed, maintaining a safe working environment.

Loading and Unloading

Load and unload vehicles using forklifts or dollies, handling heavy loads with care.

Work Environment

This is a seasonal, on-the-road job, requiring flexibility and adaptability. You will work in a rural area, with staff accommodation available.

Requirements
  • Education

No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.

Work Hours

Work 40 to 60 hours per week, with a bonus structure in place.

Language

English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
