Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at Comfort Inn & Suites. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our property.

Responsibilities
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of issues.
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances and equipment to prevent breakdowns and maintain optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular safety and security checks to identify potential hazards and take corrective action.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed to support the smooth operation of the hotel.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to maintain a welcoming and attractive environment.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access for guests and staff.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, interacting with guests and staff on a regular basis. The role requires flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing priorities and deadlines.
