Job Summary

WHISTLER 99 COURIER AND FREIGHTWAYS CORPORATION is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Load and unload goods, adhering to safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, maintaining a clean and well-maintained vehicle.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs, and pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle integrity.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo, adhering to company standards and regulations.

  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week
