Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Join Whistler 99 Courier and Freightways Corporation as a Long Haul Truck Driver and embark on a rewarding career in freight transportation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy to transport goods and materials.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring safe and secure handling.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs, and pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring efficient communication.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
Requirements:
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Experience an asset
