Job Overview

The Retail Operations Leader is accountable for overseeing the daily functions and profitability of their designated location(s), aligning with established targets and business strategies. Responsibilities encompass staff management, ensuring customer satisfaction, product display, inventory oversight, and executing seasonal adjustments and promotional initiatives.

All Retail Operations Leaders are expected to exemplify compliance and education, leading by example, providing guidance, and upholding company standards.

Job Duties

  • Cultivate, develop, and motivate high-performing customer success teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Address and resolve all customer complaints with professionalism.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of and reinforce departmental policies and procedures.
  • Communicate updates in policies, procedures, products, services, and promotions that impact customers.
  • Manage inventory effectively to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Drive sales growth, expand market reach, and promote business initiatives to achieve set objectives.
  • Oversee processes for verifying deliveries and managing packaging documentation.
  • Ensure accurate invoice verification against delivery documentation and track expenditures.
  • Maintain a neat presentation of merchandise, ensuring correct pricing.
  • Manage pricing strategies throughout the product lifecycle, considering seasonal changes.
  • Authorize customer refunds and employee discounts.
  • Provide management with necessary reports on sales, staffing, and productivity.
  • Balance sales, print, and record receipts while tracking daily revenue.
  • Conduct daily bank deposits and reconcile financial statements.
  • Record transactions for credit and debit accounts.
  • Supervise all staff, coordinating work to ensure efficient operations at all times.

Education, Training and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the retail sector.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a retail setting.
  • Comprehensive experience in customer service.
  • Clear criminal background check.
  • Relevant certifications as required.

Working Conditions

  • Some travel may be necessary.
  • Ability to deliver presentations and conduct training sessions.
  • Manual dexterity required for using computers and peripherals.
  • Capability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Overtime may be required as needed.
