Position Overview

The Lead Cashier plays a crucial role in managing financial transactions and overseeing cash handling operations at 1622 Canadian Tire Gas Bar. This position requires a blend of leadership, customer service, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Authorize Payments: Ensure the processing of payments by cheque and other methods.
  • Merchandise Management: Oversee the ordering and return of merchandise, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
  • Sales Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on sales volumes and merchandising activities.
  • Issue Resolution: Address customer inquiries, complaints, and supply shortages effectively.
  • Inventory Organization: Maintain an organized inventory system to track stock levels.
  • Staff Supervision: Lead and coordinate the activities of cashiers and other staff members.
Qualifications

Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent program lasting 1 to 2 years.

Experience: A minimum of 1 year and up to 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a commitment of 35 hours per week. The primary language of work is English.
