We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing diagnostic, assessment, and therapeutic modalities to assist in the management of cardiorespiratory and related disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Apply knowledge, skills, and judgment in the provision of diagnostic, assessment, and therapeutic modalities to assist in the management of cardiorespiratory and related disorders.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Participate in education of patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
- Conduct assessments and develop plans to address respiratory and cardiovascular needs of patients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans to improve patient outcomes.
- Successful completion of a Respiratory Therapy program from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care Exams.
- Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists.
- Current certification in BCLS.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.
- Five (5) full-time long assignments; 75 hours bi-weekly.
- Shifts include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
$40.66 hourly. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
