Maintenance Supervisor

At QSL, we are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Halifax. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all maintenance activities related to the upkeep of our equipment and facilities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure optimal equipment availability and performance;
  • Lead a team of maintenance personnel to achieve operational objectives and maintain a safe working environment;
  • Coordinate maintenance activities, including prioritizing tasks, allocating resources, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols;
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address maintenance needs and opportunities;
  • Monitor and report on maintenance performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance services.
Requirements:
  • College diploma or professional degree in a relevant field, such as mechanics, industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering;
  • 5 years of experience in maintenance management or a related field, with a proven track record of success;
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team;
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address complex maintenance issues;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and asset management software;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
