Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tile Installation Specialist to join our team at MANSON FLOOR COVERING LTD. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tile fitting and be capable of working in both commercial and residential settings.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in tile installation
Work Environment

The role involves working in various settings, including:

  • Commercial properties
  • Residential homes
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces for tile application
  • Mixing and applying mortar, cement, and adhesives using hand tools
  • Creating rough plans and sketches for tile layouts
  • Setting tiles in place and applying pressure to ensure proper adhesion
  • Aligning and straightening tiles for a flawless finish
  • Preparing tenders and quotations for projects
  • Cutting and fitting tiles around obstacles using both hand and power tools
  • Instructing apprentices and supervising other workers
  • Removing and replacing cracked or damaged tiles
  • Estimating costs and materials for projects
  • Polishing and installing marble and granite surfaces
  • Mixing, laying, and polishing terra surfaces
Supervisory Responsibilities

The position includes supervising a team of 3-4 individuals.
