About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect to join our team at the Department of Cyber Security and Digital Solutions. As a key member of our Web and Content team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing technical architecture for our organization's large-scale web presence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement technical architecture for web channels
  • Lead the implementation of architecture
  • Design, develop, and implement web technical solutions
  • Develop strategic and operational targets through direction, planning, and implementation, and evaluate progress, making changes as necessary
  • Undertake structured analysis of technical issues, translating this analysis into technical designs that describe a solution
  • Look for opportunities to collaborate and reuse components, communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Manage a budget and contracts
Requirements
  • Experience building an enterprise-scale website
  • Proven track record of architecting and implementing web technology such as web CMS including Drupal and Wordpress
  • Hands-on experience with containerized or cloud web software and infrastructure, including networking, routing, security, databases
  • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and collaborative relationships across various teams and levels of the organization
  • Demonstrate superior communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • Able to organize and prioritize work, managing tight deadlines, complex tasks and financial resources to effectively to meet strategic goals and maintain budget integrity
  • Ability to maintain sound judgement achieve results in high-pressure situations
  • Experience in leading change, managing risks, and ensuring the achievement of project objectives effectively manage stakeholder expectations
Assets
  • Familiarity with agile delivery methods (scrum, Kanban, XP)
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices that protect data and privacy
  • Track record of modernization aging systems while maintaining operational excellence
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices
