Compass Point Recruitment is pleased to collaborate with a local manufacturing firm to find an Operations and Administration Coordinator to enhance their growing team.

This newly established position is intended to assist the Operations Director in formulating and executing the annual Operations Strategy.

With no direct reports, this role offers a chance to immerse yourself in the operational aspects of the organization, from evaluating processes and policies to overseeing ISO certifications and aiding in the development of job descriptions. Expect a diverse range of responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work closely with the Operations Director to ensure adherence to ISO standards and industry regulations, including conducting audits and providing necessary training.
  2. Create internal standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee high-quality products and exceptional service.
  3. Identify and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity using lean manufacturing principles.
  4. Design and execute training and development initiatives, and manage the performance review process for all employees.
  5. Lead and support the HR function, including crafting job descriptions, reviewing policies, and maintaining employee records.
  6. Oversee Health and Safety compliance within the workplace, ensuring alignment with regulations and company policies.
  7. Manage service contracts and inspection documentation, act as Fire Marshal, and ensure fire safety standards are met.
  8. Assist in the implementation and enhancement of IT systems to boost engagement and productivity.
  9. Oversee fleet and facilities management, including communication with utility providers.
  10. Procure office supplies and factory consumables as required.
What We're Looking For:
  1. Proven experience in managing and implementing ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards is essential.
  2. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (qualifications preferred).
  3. Understanding of HR management, ideally with experience in designing training and development programs.
  4. Proficiency in Health & Safety management within an organization.
  5. Strong background in manufacturing operations.
  6. Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships.
  8. Proactive and initiative-driven approach to problem-solving.
  9. Enthusiastic team player with a strong independent work ethic.
  10. Positive attitude towards personal and professional development.
  11. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  12. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  13. Strong organizational skills and a commitment to presentation quality.
  14. Desire to tackle challenges with a constructive mindset.
  15. Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, with a forward-thinking approach to technology.
