Life Enrichment Coordinator

At Verve Senior Living, we are committed to providing a supportive and engaging environment for our residents. As a Life Enrichment Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and enriching experience for our seniors.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, direct, and evaluate activities that cater to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual needs of our residents.
- Communicate activities and programs to residents, staff, families, and the community to encourage participation.
- Lead and promote resident awareness and participation in leisure, social, and recreation programs.
- Assist in maintaining department records, including attendance, assessments, and evaluations of planned programs.
- Participate in the annual CanFitPro Exercise program to provide exercise classes suitable for seniors.
- Maintain a positive image of the residence through ongoing communications with the community, local media, family members, staff, and volunteers.
- Minimum of grade 12 education required.
- Prior experience in recreation programming for a senior population is preferred.
- Diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in the field of Recreation, Physical Education, and/or Gerontology is considered an asset.
- Class 5 operator's license, clean driving record, and 2 years of passenger driving experience.
- Certified in Emergency First Aid and CPR.
- Valid alcohol serving certification and CanFitPro certification preferred.
- Proven computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite with adaptability to handle database programs.
- Dementia experience/knowledge is considered an asset.
