About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Jacobs & Company Steakhouse. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, as well as leading and mentoring our kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with our executive chef to create new and innovative menu items that showcase our culinary expertise.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train our kitchen staff to ensure that they are equipped to provide exceptional service and quality food.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition and manage food and kitchen supplies to ensure that our kitchen is well-stocked and efficient.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that our food meets the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, responding to their needs and ensuring that they have a positive dining experience.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years, or equivalent experience
  • Skills: Excellent culinary skills, leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment
