About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Milano Pizza. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our kitchen and front-of-house areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our food service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food preparation.
    • Train and develop staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Operations and Logistics
    • Establish and manage work schedules to meet business needs, ensuring adequate staffing levels and minimizing labor costs.
    • Estimate and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring timely ordering and minimizing waste.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Quality Control and Customer Service
    • Ensure that food and service meet our high quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.
    • Monitor and address customer feedback, implementing improvements to enhance the customer experience.
  • Reporting and Administration
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on sales, inventory, and staff performance to inform business decisions.
    • Manage and maintain accurate records of staff training, performance, and development.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role or equivalent experience.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
Work Environment

Our kitchen and front-of-house areas are fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and high-quality food preparation. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be required to work in a standing position for extended periods, with regular breaks to rest and recharge.
