Role Description:Arcadis is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to join our Resilience Team in British Columbia. The successful candidate will join our Evaluation and Restoration (ER) Division, working on environmental site assessment projects, including Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs, risk assessments, and remediation projects.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing project management, technical support, and leadership. You will support, mentor, and guide intermediate and junior staff, focusing on health and safety, team collaboration, high-quality work, innovation, efficiency, and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide project management on small, large, and complex environmental projects, including scope, schedule, budget, technical resources, project risks evaluation and mitigation, and procurement.
- Offer technical advice and report preparation and review.
- Adhere to and support corporate policy and procedures, maintaining and supporting quality, health and safety, and performance management systems.
- Manage and mentor staff, directing technical tasks and field programs for contaminated site investigations, feasibility studies, remediation design and implementation, hydrogeological studies, and monitoring programs.
- Working knowledge and experience in environmental compliance and associated guidelines/legislation for provincial and federal requirements, including CCME.
- Direct experience working at contaminated sites, such as industrial facilities, refineries, bulk plants, gas stations, military properties, commercial processing plants, federal government properties, airports, mines, power plants, wind farms, and solar facilities.
- Experience working for clients in industrial, development, and federal and provincial government sectors.
- Proven ability to design and implement field programs, analyze data, write reports, provide quality control and assurance, and present results to clients.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Willing to travel to project sites and meetings as required.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Profession Geoscientist (P.Geo.) and/or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T) designation in British Columbia preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Geoscience, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of direct experience with respect to Contaminated Sites and Site Remediation.
- Direct experience within the fields of Engineering, Geoscience, and Technology with a focus on Site Investigations, Remediation, Risk Management, and Environmental Monitoring.
- Professional must be able to sign off reports and be in good standing in accordance with BC regulations.
