Environmental Project Manager

About the Role

SynergyAspen Environmental is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing environmental site assessment and remediation projects across BC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client communication and relationship management
  • Prepare work plans and cost estimates
  • Manage remediation and reclamation environmental field work programs
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of proposals
  • Mentor and train staff; ensure work is done safely and correctly
  • Manage, review and sign-off on technical reports
  • Liaise with regulators, contractors and other third parties
  • Prepare and issue invoices to clients
  • Maintain billable targets as set by CEO / COO
  • Undertake occasional travel to Calgary, Fort St. John, Port Moody, or other destinations as needed
  • Provide excellent levels of service to our internal and external clients

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant contaminated sites/reclamation/natural sciences experience in environmental consulting in BC, with 5+ years of project management experience
  • Technical diploma or degree in a related discipline
  • Possesses a recognized accredited professional designation (e.g., P.Eng, P.Geo, P.Chem, P.Ag. etc.) recognized in BC, or the ability to acquire one
  • Experience in contaminated sites, with extensive knowledge of BCER Regulations
  • Experience in managing technically complex projects, working with a dynamic team, and overseeing cost controls
  • Energy, intelligence, and integrity. Your drive for exceptional client experience is relentless
  • Experience managing and working with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Reliable attention to details that matter most, accuracy driven, and professional organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to safety
