Experienced Claims Adjuster

As a Senior Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for managing various types of claims including habitation, automobile, motorcycle, long haul trucking, and commercial claims. Your role will involve assessing coverage and determining the validity of claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations, including gathering statements and establishing loss to facilitate settlements.
- Negotiate settlements and determine subrogation potential.
- Guide and oversee external vendors to ensure effective investigation and management of claims.
- Prepare necessary correspondence and file reports accurately.
- Process payments or denials in accordance with established authority.
- Maintain timely and precise claim reserves on all files.
- Actively manage the claims audit program.
- Some travel may be required.
Qualifications:
- College certificate in a relevant field.
- Possession of Personal-lines Damage Insurance and Commercial-line Damage Insurance Claims Adjuster AMF permit.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- CIP or FCIP designation or progress towards it is considered an asset.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is essential for effective communication.
- Strong business writing capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic claims environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
