Experienced Claims Adjuster

As a Senior Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for managing various types of claims including habitation, automobile, motorcycle, long-haul trucking, and commercial warranties. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing coverage and determining the validity of claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations including gathering statements, establishing loss, and facilitating settlements.
- Negotiate settlements and evaluate subrogation potential.
- Guide and coordinate with external vendors to ensure effective claims management.
- Prepare correspondence and maintain accurate documentation of claims.
- Process payments or denials in line with established protocols.
- Maintain timely and precise claim reserves.
- Oversee the claims audit program to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Some travel may be required.
Qualifications:
- College certificate in a relevant field.
- Possession of Personal-lines Damage Insurance and Commercial-line Damage Insurance Claims Adjuster AMF permit.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in claims adjusting.
- CIP or FCIP designation, or progress towards it, is advantageous.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is essential for effective communication.
- Strong skills in business writing, interpersonal communication, analytical thinking, organization, decision-making, problem-solving, and presentation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic claims environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
