Job Summary:

Watson Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Specialist Float to join our team. As a Medical Assistant Specialist Float, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate patient needs through telephone triage, ensuring timely and effective care.
  • Administer medication, including injections, and document medication given or prescribed by the ordering physician, adhering to specialty requirements.
  • Recognize and respond to emergency situations, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Facilitate the flow of patients, maintaining the integrity of our physician's office and ensuring a seamless patient experience.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide patient education and support, promoting health literacy and empowerment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years.
  • Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Current BLS certification or completion within the first 90 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience or training in a medical healthcare facility as a Medical Assistant.
  • 1 year of experience in a primary care setting.
