Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Game Designer to join our Iron Man team, focusing on World Gameplay systems that captivate and empower players. As a key member of our design team, you will work closely with our Lead Systems Designer to design and implement engaging game systems, player interactions, and gameplay ingredients that create a top-tier Open World experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and own various game systems, player interactions, and gameplay ingredients that support an engaging Open World experience.
  • Collaborate with Gameplay Designers to ensure our systems and core gameplay complement and feed each other.
  • Develop and maintain design documents, communicating them effectively to the team.
  • Prototype, integrate, and maintain features and content using Unreal Engine 5.
  • Work closely with the World, Level Design, and Tech Design teams to ensure seamless communication and a top-tier player experience.
  • Review the game against design goals, identifying issues and opportunities to improve the player experience.
  • Support more junior designers, providing and receiving feedback from across the team.
  • Collect and utilize qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience developing video games.
  • Experience working on World systems, player interactions, or Gameplay ingredients is a plus.
  • Familiarity with advanced game engines like Unreal, Unity, and others.
  • Experience working hands-on with a game engine to implement designs, with a strong technical background a plus.
  • Knowledge of recent titles and trends in action games and RPGs, with the ability to apply insights from them.
