Job Title: Senior Game Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Game Designer to join our team at HASBRO DEUTSCHLAND GmbH. As a Senior Game Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing game systems and mechanics for our next game.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Game Design: Collaborate with the creative leadership to develop the game's vision into practical and achievable designs.
  2. Feature Development: Own end-to-end 3C game features and systems, designing and building them with responsiveness and playability in mind.
  3. Agile Methodology: Design new features to meet the game's objectives and implement them using the Agile methodology.
  4. Team Leadership: Guide the team through feature development and iteration, including working with production to define game mechanics budget, priorities, and schedule.
  5. Character and Opponent Design: Take ownership of the creation of character archetypes and bring them to fruition, ensuring their play mechanics fit into the universe.
  6. Epic Encounters: Produce epic encounters with a more scripted aspect, such as boss-fights with curated and exotic mechanics.
  7. Systemic Instinct: Have a good systemic instinct to maximize utilization of systemic ingredients in relation with AI entities and how they interact with the world.
  8. Competitor Analysis: Benchmark and break down competitor's games into defined references, analysis, and inspiration.
  9. Collaboration: Collaborate with other designers and team members in the fundamentals of elegant design, feedback triage, and adaptive design.
Requirements:
  1. 8+ years of video game development experience on AAA titles.
  2. Experience implementing designs in Unreal or similar game engine.
  3. Experience in feature design and building fun gameplay that drives player engagement.
  4. Initiative to push boundaries and a strong desire to build something outstanding.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  6. Live services support is a plus.
