Job Title: Bookkeeper

At CAPRI MOTOR INN LTD., we are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare tax returns
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports Veterans
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 40 hours per week
